Six of Crows

Six of Crows: 9/10

Laugh, cry, celebrate, and plot with Kaz Brekker and his band of criminals in Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo. You will be hanging onto Bardugo's every word as she flawlessly tells the story of the hardest prison break in imaginable. Led by Kaz Brekker, the Dregs must formulate a plan to save the world, and more importantly, earn 30 million kruge. Being the only ones stupid enough to try, six unlikely people band together and attempt to break into the ice court. Join Dirtyhands, the Wraith, a Heartrender, a sharpshooter, a runaway, and a convict on a journey filled with daring plots, sarcastic remarks, and a newfound sense of loyalty.

Six of Crows is a tale told from the viewpoint of criminals yet exposes a heartfelt sense of loyalty, love, and fear. Throughout the book, I felt myself constantly relating to the characters and falling in love (mostly with Kaz Brekker). Although I was skeptical at first glance, Six of Crows quickly dug its way into my heart as I felt myself wanting to join the Dregs. I recommend this book to anyone looking for a story like none other and a book that is almost impossible to put down.
